Working across documentary, fashion and portraiture, Vivek Vadoliya’s projects explore themes that are rooted in experience, such as societal masculinity and beauty ideals, as well as his own British Asian identity. Through this Vivek has crafted a distinct, warm, generous and deeply personal aesthetic, celebrating people or places typically overlooked.

Vivek uses his photographs and films to challenge the status quo in representations of beauty and culture by brands – championing the unique interconnectedness of humanity.

“I’m always trying to celebrate ordinary people. For me, that looks like people who may be marginalised, and that’s not necessarily limited to race or colour, that can be in lots of different ways. I’m interested in people who you might walk past on the street.”
