Currently based in Barcelona, Iris was born and raised in Milan by Swiss and French-Chinese parents before moving to Spain to focus on photography.
In ‘communicating the emotional quality of a moment’, Iris seeks to invite the viewer in to her captured environment. Her images convey a sense of both abandon and intimacy that exude a warm nostalgic aesthetic.
Her ongoing personal practice is the expansive and sensitive body of work captured with her father and sister at their family home in Switzerland. Iris returns year on year to their lake house, capturing work that reflects the experience of being with family in a particular moment in time.
Iris’ practice, having clearly evolved from capturing her family and those closest to her, epitomises her talent in highlighting the actualities, both tenderly and firmly, the heart of relationships.
